Interactive Power Electronics Seminar (iPES) - www.ipes.ethz.chThe following Java applets are part of the Introductory Course on Power Electronics taught by Prof. Kolar at the ETH Zurich. The interactive and animated applets are used as aid for teaching in the classroom and are displayed using a laptop and a beamer. Furthermore, the applets do provide an opportunity for the students to experiment and learn at home more efficiently. June 29, 2010Van-Tung Phan provided us with the Vietnamese translation of iPES. Thank you very much! We integrated GeckoCIRCUITS into iPES. Visit the course in your favourite language. A larger part of the work is done. It is easy now to add more examples quickly. We think it will improve the impact of iPES significantly. Tell us what you think >> ipes@gecko-simulations.com! Many users asked for more flexibility in iPES-simulations/animations. Now we have a working prototype of a web-based circuit simulator which you can test here as iPES-GECKO. The open-sourced version of the solver is available at www.gecko-simulations.com. From the log-files we learned that the two most popular applets are the simple Buck-converter and the Rotating Three-Dimensional Field iPES was went online in summer 2001, and we have currently about 10,000 visitors a month. Last year we announced to make a major update in summer 2008, but this has been delayed significantly. We also received many emails from users all over the world who had many suggestions how to improve the applets.
